A Note From a Mother
I was first introduced to tallow when I was pregnant with my first child.
I was given a couple small jars in my baby shower gift box. As I transitioned from pregnancy to postpartum, and all throughout the newborn and toddler phases, tallow has been a staple in my and both my babies’ care.
Tallow and herbal infused oils got me through weird pregnancy skin issues - waking up with dry lips and hormonal breakouts - it nourished and soothed my sore, stretched skin, it brought me relief while breastfeeding and, when I was in the midst of long days and nights of the newborn life, feeling haggard and worn, it made my face brighter, clearer and made me feel more radiant when I seldom had time to shower or give my skin the attention it needed.
When my second child was experiencing rashes and dryness, it’s what I used to soothe him and nourish the skin back to normal. I used it when clearing up a stubborn diaper rash and to soothe sore bottoms.
I use it as an expression of love, after the babies are warm and bathed, massaging it into their little feet and backs as I get them ready for bed.
Our handcrafted jars and bottles have been chewed on, little fingers have dipped into them to sneak a taste, little hands have practiced their motor skills opening and closing them. These products have become a staple in our daily lives, our go-to for skin issues that will go far beyond these days when they are young.
It’s my hope that these products we make will come to serve you as it has served us in these years. That’s why we craft special products for mommas and babies, because we first crafted them for our own little ones.
With love,
Samantha
